Default Plastic Surgery, Tanning Booths, and Barbers!

Okay, so I've had my necro a long time and I've decided that she would look better with a tan! Wouldn't it be awesome if you could goto a major city, pay a some of cash, and get one of three things changed? Need a new hairstyle/color? Visit the "Barber". Need a tan/er... untan? Visit the "Tanning Booths". Sick and tired of your face? A "Plastic Surgeon" is your answer. I know the names lack creativity for the timeperiod, but that can be figured out later.

Obviously, the tanning would be cheapest (though still not cheap!). Something around 10k would work nicely.
Next in price would be the hairstyles. They would cost 15k each.
Finally, the Plastic Surgery would be quite expensive. 50k to change this!

The prices would keep people from constantly switching thier tan/color/face.

I know the first two would be do-able, since you can both tan and change your hair style for the time period. The plastic surgery part is pushing it. But I just wanted to know if this idea had any potential. /sign or /unsign please! Also, any suggestions for the names of these ideas would be nice!

/signed - appearance modding of any sort would be good and add to the long term fun. Hey how about a gender change shop? Hell it's probably only a 1 bit change as far as coding goes.

This has been requested and acknowledged since the game started. Apparently it's finally on their list of things to "consider", which means it'll be added a little past never.

This is not lame. I am for one been wanting something like this for ages.

Think about it this way, ANet goofed when they gave players limited faces and hairstyles even if you have BOTH Factions and Prophecies. The only way to make up for it is just have some sort of an NPC that will let you recreate your characters.

I doubt that it takes a lot of coding. If they can do the storage upgrade, they can do this little mod.

Good idea MMS! I wonder how far MMORPGS have gone with individuality. Guild wars could set a precedent! :P

please, call me Dome. MMS is the tag for my gaming clan which is about 5 years old.

On topic, the plastic surgery isnt a great idea, totally changing your face in the time frame of where guild wars is set is jsut well unsanitary.

Awww, no sign for tanning? That's what I want to change most on my necro! lol

Yea, I figured the plastic surgery was pushing it. Then again, I would think they would need to do something since they have added so many more options to what your character can look like.

Okay, what about ideas for naming. Potions for tanning perhaps? Barbers work fine for the hair, but the name is lacking.

"Signet of Approval"

I like the idea, not the names.

Besides you can't see my Warrior under the one ton of armor he wears...

Terra, you didn't read.

I said I was pointing out the concept, not the names.

/signed but the suggested prices are too expensive, why should the rich be the only ones to be able to change their character maybe 3-5k for hair and tan and 8-10k for face seeing as someone who constantly changes their appearance isnt a major issue as the name stays.

plastic surgen could be made available throught a quest: maybe and he could be a mesmer (maybe in the lyssas realm, if it will ever be put in the game).

Don't know why I didn't notice this thread before, but as people have said, it has been suggested to ad nasium.

Read the Index of Ideas. Do a search. Blah blah blah.

Closed.
